Master that is not entirely accurate re Ireland.
In Ireland abortions are permitted up to 12 weeks.
Thereafter abortions are permitted where the pregnancy poses a serious health risk or there is a serious fetal abnormality.
This is relatively new as it was enacted late in 2018.
The proposed 'heartbeat bills' of some US 'red' states would only allow terminations up to 6weeks.
In other red states there are other restrictions.

Seems that series "Handmaidens Tale" was a premonition not simply fictional entertainment?
Gilead is becoming reality. Unfortunately a weakness in their "checks and balances" allows a President to appoint 3 supreme court judges in one term. Usually they struggle to get one appointed. This leads to decisions/laws being prescribed outside of the democratic process.
Canada might start to see an uptick in immigration if this abortion dictate is not repealed. Yes, I realise it really is moving the decision / law / control down to state level but evangelical right will see "one piece at a time" as the way to get back to the good old days of the dark ages ;-)

Most abortions are done via a pill nowadays. So it will just join the list of other illicit drugs in those states where its banned and be hard to control. Take an E for a good time, take an A to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy.

About the term limit in Oregon, maybe you’re right about the rest but who really cares about that.
There are no legal restrictions on abortion in Oregon at all. The exception for later abortions if the mother is at risk are in states where their are time limits.
Happy to provide you with any number of sources, but you could easily google it and find them yourself.

Oregon abortions after 24 weeks are only allowed if the life of the mother is at risk or there is a major problem with the baby.
